Vora Ventures Sponsors TechOlympics Promoting IT Careers

Vora Ventures is proud to have sponsored and supported the 2019 TechOlympics promoting IT entrepreneurism to Cincinnati area high-school students. The conference was held March 23-24 in the Millennium Hotel in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Employees from various Vora companies manned the Vora Ventures booth and provided students with information about the Vora Ventures portfolio of high-tech companies and our Zero to Sixty internship program, as well as conducted mock job interviews. Our team also gave away T-shirts, provided free raffle tickets to win Amazon Echo Plus interactive speakers and hosted a fun, interactive photo booth.

Ascendum VP of Innovation and Technology Mickey Mentzer spoke at the event in a presentation entitled Connecting Humans through Machines – How AI / AR and Chat Help Businesses Reach Customers. Additionally, Ascendum Senior Project Manager Amy Denison participated in an engaging breakout session entitled Crowdsourcing My Cybersecurity Architecture.

Vora Venture Zero to Sixty Internship Program

Vora Ventures’ Zero to Sixty program is designed for promising high school entrepreneurs to turn innovative ideas and business acumen into successful startup companies. During a 10-week internship program, a select group of high school students will form a team tasked with building a new technology company.

Students who are accepted into the Vora Ventures Zero to Sixty program are mentored by Mahendra Vora, an award-winning, serial entrepreneur who has built more than a dozen profitable global businesses throughout his career. The program is for self-starters who want to learn what it takes to ideate, create, build and manage a successful tech startup company.
